Protecting cultural heritage
You could help protect that lopsided cottage next door, that row of
Moreton Bay Figs in your street, or any place that touches the heart of
your community. We can all play a role in protecting cultural heritage
- there are lots of ways you can help.
Ways you can help
If you find something of cultural heritage significance enjoy it. But
most importantly, help protect it. If you find a significant place, you
could nominate it to the Queensland Heritage Register. You can help in
other ways by:
- visiting heritage places that are open to the public
- reporting damage of heritage sites to relevant authorities
- donating money to heritage conservation projects
